Advent yarn and Craft Stories

I’ve indulged in a couple of yarn advents ( yes that’s a thing ! ) 

I have a gorgeous advent box , by The Little Box of Crochet , 12 days of Christmas by Burrow and Soar , and an advent Pin set by The stitching hour 

The crochet one is supposed to be a daily little project ...in my own style....I’ve broken the rules and skipped along ......so I’m on day 12 !!

Many lovely people from all over the world have generously offered their time and skills to make this dream come true. We need blankets......lots of them! The requirement is simply that they are 36 inches square, they can be made in any gauge and and stitch. In addition to this we have decided it would be fantastic if we could have a large centre blanket comprising of crochet flags from all of the participating countries.

Welcome to my page......this will be interesting! As I start my journey into the land of blog I would ask you all to bear with me whilst I try to remember my best high school grammar and dictate to you all in my best BBC English! Not an easy feat considering that I'm not English but I do live in the beautiful rural English countryside.

As my page suggests I'm a crocheter.....well general crafter .....I'm lucky enough to be able to turn my hand ....and with 3 children and 3 grandchildren it helps to be able to muster up something, for moments when you get the request "can you just Mum? " I wonder how many other parents can relate to the "can you just." Of course we can magic up a costume or a cake or a present in record time! We are all magicians!!!

At the moment I'm working on 2 crochet blankets, I'm doing the Scheepjes Cal 2016 ....it's drawing to a close now. It's titled Last Dance on the beach but in my case I'm dancing under a Rainbow and the apple blossom tree! 

Of course I haven't stuck entirely to the script (oops its artistic licence!)

I do hope you will enjoy my blathering on......it happens a lot .....like most crafters I am more or less completely bonkers .....but the best people are you know!
